Chalco Zhongzhou branch has recently signed a cooperation contract with Henan Jiaozliuo Wanfang Aluminum Co., Ltd to guarantee alumina supply to the smelter. Both located in Jiaozhuo city of Henan province, the companies used to have little business contact owing to different ownership, even though one is a big alumina producer and the other is a large-sized aluminum smelter in the same city. In the past, most of alumina used by Jiaozhuo Wanfang came from overseas market. The company's spending on transportation of alumina is considerable.
