SWA's cold rolling project to come on stream by year-end

Chinese leading aluminum semis producer Southwest Aluminum (Group) Co., Ltd (SWA) said its cold rolling project has been underway well since the project was launched on December 18, .2005 and it would strive to gear up the construction and put the project into production by the end of 2006. The project is to match its newly-built 1+4 hot continuous rolling line. The cold rolling project is expected to enable the company to produce more high-quality flat rolled products(FRPs), such as high-precision aluminum sheet & strip, PS plate, can stock, widely used in aviation, auto, packaging, building and construction industries. Once the project on stream, SWA will have a capacity of producing 350,000-450,000tpy FRPs.
