Over 70% of Europeans want deforestation off the EU market – survey

A new survey found that 73% of Europeans think EU legislation should ensure all products sold in the EU are sustainable and do not lead to biodiversity loss. Commissioned by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the survey showed most European adults want the EU to step up its commitment to protect forests and other ecosystems (76%) and set its own sustainability criteria for food imported into the bloc (74%).
