Australia still aims to conclude a trade deal with the EU by the end of 2022 despite tensions with France over a cancelled submarine agreement. Australian Trade Minister Dan Tehan said at the G20 meeting on 8 October that they expect to finalize a free trade agreement with the EU by the end of next year, despite the bloc’s anger over the cancellation of a submarine deal with France.
