Russian coal prices in Europe fall

Russian high-grade coal prices in Europe decreased last week, tracking lower European-delivered values amid limited demand. Prices for European customers declined by $4.09/t week on week to $49.33/t fob Baltic ports. No assessment-relevant trades were reported. A bid for a 75,000t Russian origin July-delivery cargo at $57/t des Amsterdam or Rotterdam surfaced on 22 May, but with no offers. The high-grade European-delivered spot mar- ket fell by $2.60/t week on week to $55.81/t cif Amsterdam- Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) on 20-23 May.
