KTK targets export boost to Europe

Kemerovo region-based coal producer Kuzbasskaya Toplivna- ya Kompaniya (KTK) aims to increase sales by 9pc this year compared with 2018, through a rise in shipments to Europe. But actual sales could be much lower on the year, because demand in European countries is limited. KTK’s sales may increase to around 17.5-18mn t in 2019, with exports accounting for 70-76pc of this, a company source said. The firm also sells some coal from third parties, and such trades may rise this year.
