Social bonding modulates top-down hierarchical neural alignment among human groups

摘要

Using simultaneously recording of the cerebral activity and, in particular, the inter-brain neural synchrony from multiple individuals within hierarchical groups, we provided direct evidence that social bonding selectively modulated the inter-status neural synchrony between leaders and followers through the top-down predictive neural alignment. Our findings shed lights into the neural mechanism underlying the social bonding in hierarchical social interactions.
