On October 4, the National Labor Relations Board announced that it is extending for 60 additional days the time for submitting comments on its proposed "election protection" rule, which would amend Part 103 of the Board’s Rules and Regulations. The deadline is extended from October 11 to December 10, 2019. Comments replying to comments submitted during the initial comment period must be received on or before December 24, 2019. The proposal would make changes to the Board’s blocking charge policy, voluntary recognition bar, and Section 9(a) recognition in the construction industry.
