On March 5, U.S. Immigration and Citizenship Services (USCIS) announced that it has revised its Form I-539, Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status. The revised form will be published on the agency’s website on March 8, 2019. Among others, the Form I-539 may be used by B-1 visitors for business; dependents of a C-1 transitional worker; dependents of an H temporary worker; representatives of foreign media and dependents; dependents of an L intracompany transferee; dependents of an O alien of extraordinary ability or achievement; dependents of a P athlete, artist, or entertainer; dependents of an R religious worker; and dependents of a TN Canadian or Mexican professional.
