Contract with European seller signed in Turkish scrap market

Demand for import scrap is tepid in Turkey. In the middle of the week, a Marmara-based steelmaker has bought 10,000 t of HMS 1 and 30,000 t HMS 1&2 (75:25) at $334/t CFR Turkey from European supplier, whereas the previous deal for Belgian HMS 1&2 (75:25) was made at $330/t CFR Turkey. Prices for HMS 1&2 (80:20) and HMS 1&2 (70:30) have not been revised.
