A 5-YEAR-OLD GIRL PRESENTED TO OUR CLINIC complaining of a 6-month history of dermatitis that started on her knees and elbows and spread to her face. The skin lesions have been worsening and have not responded to topical emollients and corticosteroids (figwres 1, 2, and 3). The mother reported that the girl has low energy. Test results from past medical examinations were within the normal limits.
