Frictional behavior of radial and axial loaded radial cylindrical roller bearings

In the research project described in this paper a method was developed for the thermal design of combined loaded radial cylindrical roller bearings. With the help of a concrete example of a gear unit in this third part the thermal design of the rolling bearing arrangement is carried out after life dimensioning of the roller bearings according to DIN/ISO 281. Basis of this design are the new method of the frictional moment calculation (FTP method) and the heat balance of the bearings.
