Drum motor with restricted guidance for plastic module chain bands

Plastic chain bands should not be operated under tension because otherwise they would wear very fast. In reversing operation, however, the necessary "sag" creates problems: If for the reversing operation a drive unit is positioned in the middle between forward and return run during changes of the direction of running the chain threatens to jump over the guidance. In order to get rid of this problem for drum motors a restricted guidance was developed for plastic module chain hands. It guides the plastic links safely over the guiding slots of the shape-rubberized drum motor.
