Since its Middle East launch in December 2005, Inmarsat's BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network) service has generated great interest from customers across the region and has been taken up by a number of heavy users, particularly in the corporate sectorand media agencies. By April 2007, there were over 10,000 active BGAN subscribers registered on the Inmarsat network and the pattern of take-up highlights the fact that BGAN is generating demand both from new and existing customers.
