A high-tech product such as the CD would appear to offer the ideal basis for production of pure, high-quality recyclates. For ecological and economic reasons, this aim can only be achieved in practice by establishing high-volume flows of waste product and manufacturing scrap and developing a specially tailored recycling technology.
