Greece 2022: Port calls fall for

THE number of ship visits to Greek ports dropped by 7% to 6,505 in 2021, the first time that negative growth has been recorded since 2016, according to Lloyd’s List Intelligence data. Only vessels of 10,000 dwt and above were considered for this analysis, in order to eliminate small-scale, local traffic. Shipping hub Piraeus, Perama and Thessaloniki received the greatest number of port calls in 2021. However, each recorded drops in activity when compared to the previous year.
