With County and Metropolitan Councils slowly taking back the Section 42 highway agencies agreements, Borough Councils are turning more and more to full turnkey project management solutions. This not only includes the manufacturing of pay and display parking machines, but also the installation, servicing, cleaning, ticketing and enforcement staff as well. In the last two years in particular Metric has won tenders for the supply, fit and management of projects where there may be many hundreds of machines or a handful. This means that Metric's own nationwide installation teams have to meet with the street works installation standards as set by the Roads and Street Works Authority (RASWA).
