Birse and Mouchel joint win

A joint venture between Birse and Mouchel has edged out four other JVs to bag a ￡106 million deal to upgrade the All in East AngJia. May Gurney/Fabcr Maunsefl; Sir Robert McAlpine/Atkins; Skanska/URS;and Costain/Hatcrow also priced the early contractor involvement project for the Highways Agency. The project is subject to 3 public enquiry before a start date can be confirmed but is expected to take two years to complete. The scheme comprises dualling around 15-km of the An and will be supervised by Jacobs, which replaced Parsons Brinckerhoff as the client's agent.
