Traffic officers learn valuable lessons in virtual world

A new virtual world computer game is beginning to be used by the Highways Agency to train its traffic officers, who patrol England's motorway network, in procedures to help cut congestion and improve safety on the road. It's a specially-designed interactive learning tool called V-SIM that uses computer simulation to practice and test the skills and knowledge of the traffic officers who patrol the motorways and their colleagues back in the control rooms.
