Software solution to winter woes

Keeping the highways clear can prove to be a real challenge for many county councils, especially in the arctic-style conditions the country experienced last winter. With some parts blanketed by 12 inches of snow and the heaviest snowfall in England for over 18 years, effective winter roads maintenance was vital to try and keep the country moving. This was quite a task for the army of Snow Desk Managers around the country who had the responsibility of keeping our roads clear as well as looking after the safety of their men out in the field.
