Anchor retaining wall for housing

The successful development of the ￡600m Ironstone housing scheme in Telford has been made possible by the use of an innovative retaining wall system from Acheson ft Glover Group. Birse Civils Limited chose Acheson ft Glover's, Anchor Diamond system for a 250m long, 2.5 m high wall installed next to a widened feeder road near the development. Anchor Diamond is a segmental concrete retaining wall system that works with geogrids to form a reinforced earth structure of immense strength. Blocks are dry laid onto granular footings - no concrete or mortar is required.
