Acklea's Scorpion crash cushion provides three essential services for traffic management teams -protection while they are working, mobility for cone laying and collection, and on-board safety for operatives. Whilst the core functions of protecting the safety of site workers on highways has been developed and improved over the years, Acklea has worked with customers and operators to introduce high levels of security and safety for on-board workers. These include clear communications between the driving cab and cone-laying/collecting personnel, reduced trip and fall hazards, and a low-entry chassis with walk-through cabs.
