The ultimate goal of any rock physics analysis is to gain insights into the physical properties of a reservoir. These canbe bulk properties such as lithol-ogy, porosity, and permeability, or dynamic properties like fluid content and pressure. A geophysical rock physics analysis uses the measured elastic properties from seismic data to determine relationships that yield information about the reservoir rocks, However, these relation-ships should not be determined exclusively by seismicaUy-derived properties.
