At the present time in Egypt a double-arm swivel bridge is built for a railway crossing of the Suez Canal the weight of which will be 10000 tons. At its opening it will be the largest swivel bridge of the world. After in part I in the July issue the specialities of gear units, motors and swivel bearings were described, this part II now deals with the auxiliary drives, the lockings and the controls of the bridge.
