Skid resistance survey can protect councils in court

Courts are becoming more aware of the responsibility of authorities to maintain the skidding resistance of their roads under Section 58 of the Highways Act. Authorities using the new service, therefore, will be more able to defend against claims due to alleged skidding caused by poor surface friction. Evidence provided by Yotta DCL will show that adequate SCRIM inspections were performed and that appropriate action had been taken to maintain the skid resistance of the road surface.
