SIPG to list its short-sea shipping subsidiary

SHANGHAI International Port Group says it will spin off a wholly-owned short-sea shipping subsidiary and list it on the domestic stock exchange. The move comes after the Shanghai Jinjiang Shipping (Group) Co unit has benefitted from the booming container shipping market and reported strong earnings, with Yuan903m ($141.7m) net profits for the first three quarters of 2021, up from Yuan398m for 2020.
