KUEHNE+Nagel is launching a new indicator designed to measure the efficiency of the global supply chain and pinpoint bottlenecks. The Seaexplorer disruption indicator shows the cumulative teu being held multiplied by waiting time in days at a number of key ports, in the US, China and Europe. "The trendline information provided by the indicator enhances the ability of our customers to predict and plan for likely future impacts on their supply chain and identify the best course of action," said K+N executive vice- president, sea logistics, Otto Schacht. "With the indicator, we have implemented a new level of data analytics for sea logistics."
