Crew of 18 airlifted from bulker after collision off Dutch coast

DUTCH rescue helicopters have airlifted 18 crew from the bulk carrier JuliettaD (IMO: 9590618) after a collision with a combined chemical and oil tanker Pechora Star (IMO: 9488322) off the coast of Yumiden, Netherlands on Monday. fulietta D and Pechora Star, both Malta-flagged vessels, collided in the anchorage area at Ijmuiden as Storm Corrie swept across northern Europe. The incident has left the fulietta D without power and taking water in the Hollandse Kust Zuid wind farm. At 15:30 local time, the Dutch coastguard reported that Julietta D has hit the foundation of a wind turbine platform under construction. It is unknown if there is any damage to the foundation.
