Signs of innovation

While there has been considerable interest in the development of the latest TSRGD draft, and its outputs, the industry has not allowed the current confusion or delay to detract it from exploring new technologies and thinking. Indeed the pace of innovation, if anything, has increased in recent times, with key developments focused around two specific areas: the move towards internet-based communications; and the connectivity of variable message signs (VMS) to UTMC Common Database systems.
