Change is in the air for winter service

Winter service planners have less than 12 months to put new plans in place before the deadline for adoption of the new code of practice, Well-managed Highway Infrastructure, is reached next October. With the removal of Appendix H, the new code no longer provides detailed guidance to practitioners regarding the delivery of the winter service. Instead, it is complemented by the NWSRG's Practical Guide to Winter Service, as this is considered the best method of conveying the information and guidance required to assist authorities and other service providers in effectively and efficiently delivering their winter services.
