Sea Killer/Marte

The Sea Killer missile is a medium-range, sea-skimming anti-ship missile. The Sea Killer missile is the basis for ship-based and airborne weapons systems, known respectively as Mariner and Marte. The initial Mk 1 Nettuno ship-launched version is no longer in service. The Marte Mk 1 is an air-launched system using the Sea Killer Mk 2 missile; it is designed for all-weather attack capability against surface warships. The Marte air-to-surface anti-ship weapon system is deployed on Italy's SH-3D helicopters and in 1995 was qualified on the MB.339C light attack aircraft.
