Suppliers probe market with price increases

CIS pig iron suppliers faced a weak business activity at the beginning of the year. However, their sentiments are mainly optimistic as rising scrap prices in the key outlets as well as upward moves of the exporters in the alternative markets may provide some support in the near future. Meanwhile, pig iron exporters are gradually increasing offer prices even though the market is quite slow.
