The key impact came from Russia's war in Ukraine, as both the countries are quite large iron ore exporters. Besides resulting in suspension of supplies from the countries, the situation caused an increase in energy costs worldwide, leading to a general surge in iron ore production expenses. The rise in quotes already influenced all international markets.
