Redd forestry support gets final approval

Countries delivered a historic agreement on rules and results-based financing for projects that reduce emissions from deforestation and degradation and pro-mote sustainable forest management (Redd-plus), in a move that was hailed by non-governmental organisations as one of the few success stories at the Conference of the Parties (Cop 19) in Warsaw, Poland. The deal is backed by $280mn of contributions from Norway the UK and the US.
