The catalytic oxidation of methyl-isobutyl-ketone (MIBK) in low concentration was investigated over HFAU,NaFAU (X and Y) and CsFAU (X and Y) zeolites.For a given reaction temperature,the following activity pattern was observed for the conversion into CO_2:CsX>NaX>CsY>NaY>HFAU.The complete conversion of MIBK into CO_2 was observed at 300 deg C over CsX zeolite,and this exceptional performance is reported for the first time.A linear relationship between the conversion into CO_2 and the basic strength of the zeolites was found.
