Carl Zeiss and Yokogawa Electric Corporation present the first result of a strategic partnership. The Cell Observer~R SD (SD = Spinning Disk) from Carl Zeiss enables confocal observation and documentation of experiments on living cells over a long period of time and with high frame rates. This microscope system provides high-end research in the field of the life sciences with new experimental possibilities. Thanks to the full integration of the CSU-X1 confocal scanning unit manufactured by Yokogawa Electric Corporation (Japan) into the Carl Zeiss system world, it is possible to offer users an ideal one-stop solution for the first time.
