Mills' prices for likely to go up in April

Prices for 57-159 mm seamless pipes made to GOST 8732(31) by TMK and ChelPipe remained intact in February.Russian mills' production costs of seamless pipes made of own billet gained RUB 1,300-1,700/t without VAT in January-February due to higher prices for raw materials. However, mills failed to reflect higher expenses in quotes of finished products as large plants' Q1 output had already been booked. TMK's and ChelPipe's production costs of own round billet will stay the same in March to add 1-2% in April, and decrease by 1-2% in May, Metal Expert estimates. Producers will seek to pass the rise in input costs on to buyers in April.
