Take Action to Protect Copyright

摘要

Professional associations are asking their members to take action to oppose proposed laws that would have a detrimental effect on librarians. A balanced approach to copyright recognizes one of the main objectives of copyright laws around the world: toreward the creation of original works while at the same time facilitating access to this content for the benefit of society. Library associations as well as individual librarians are vocal advocates for a balanced copyright approach, as are other communities concerned about copyright reforms, including publishers, musicians and filmmakers.
