China's indium prices expected to resume rising

Chinese indium prices are expected by market participants to resume their uptrend in the short term, after pausing in the past few weeks because of rising futures contract prices on the Wuxi stainless steel exchange. Prices for 99.99pc grade indium metal were yesterday assessed at 1,300-1,450 yuan/kg ($190-212/kg) ex-works, following a fall of Yn50/kg on 22 September. The current level remains 46pc higher than Yn930-950/kg ex-works on 20 August.
