China's Aug LiCO3 imports dip, LiOH exports up

China's lithium carbonate imports in August fell from a year earlier, pressured by competition from lower priced domes- tically produced material. Exports of lithium hydroxide rose slightly as electric vehicle (EV) producers outside of China increased production. Imports of lithium carbonate were down by 18.2pc from a year earlier to 3,394t in August, with the average import price falling by 38pc to $4.86/kg, according to customs data.
