China's Cn tech builds anhui battery recycling facility

Chinese recycling firm CN Tech has started constructing a 200,000 t/yr lithium-ion battery recycling facility in Chizhou city in south China's Anhui province. The project, with an investment of 4bn yuan ($586mn), will be developed in three phases over four years. The first phase will recycle and disassemble 40,000 t/yr of old batter- ies, with an output of 10,000 t/yr for ternary precursor and 5,000 t/yr for lithium carbonate, in addition to by-products such as copper foil, graphite, aluminum and stainless steel shells.
