摘要

Summer greengram is very susceptible to water stress especially at flowering and pod formation stages of plant growth. Water stress during this period may cause significant reduction in crop yield. Irrigation is one of the most important factors whichgoverns plant development including biomass production and its partitioning among different plant organs and ultimately seed yield. There are many reports on genotypic differences in kharif greengram but a very few in summer greengram. Hence, identification and development of stress tolerant genotypes during summer season remains the best solution under such conditions. Keeping these facts in view, the present investigation was undertaken.
