Ecoships unveils 'eco' bulker

Ecoships has introduced a new bulk carrier design "to set the standard in ecologically compatible marine transportation". The vessel's 170.9m-long, 27m-wide hull form "has been optimised for energy-efficient operation using computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis", he added. "The vessel comes with built-in technology for voyage and weather routing, trim optimisation, and a system to provide real-time analysis of ship data, including bunker quality and emissions," he said.
