An experiment was conducted in sandy loam soil of IARI farm to study the integrated effect of organic and inorganic source of nitrogen on yield, N uptake and recovery of okra (Prabhni Kranti). Graded levels of N were tested in presence of nitrifiacation inhibitors. The results showed that the integrated treatments had higher N uptake, recovery and yield of fresh of fruit as compared to fetilizer alone. The yield due to fertilizer N (50%) integrated with organic N (FYM and oilseed cakes) and nitrifcation inhibitors was statistically at par with 100% fertilizer N alone. Thus, it is suggested that a saving of 50% fertilizer N would be possible by the use of organic sources no N.
