Strategy for effective energy use for sustainable rural development.

摘要

The study was conducted in village Patuwas of Dadri Block of Bhiwani district of Haryana state to assess the total availability of energy in the village, total consumption of energy in different sectors, energy demand-supply gap, future energy demand and technologies options to enhance the effective energy use for sustainable rural development. The findings revealed that availability of energy from non-commercial sources was found to be in surplus while energy available from commercial sources was found to be deficit. Therefore, some suitable number of various alternate technologies such as biogas, biomass, gasifiers, smokeless chulha, solar cookers, solar lights and solar water heaters was suggested to fulfil the demand-supply gap.
