The sixteen treatments combinations comprising of four levels of phosphorus (0, 20, 40 and 60 kg P_2O_5/ha) and four levels of sulphur (0,15,30 and 45 kg S/ha) were tested in randomized block design with four replications. The barley variety RD 2052 was sown in row spaced at 25 cm apart. Results indicated that application of increasing levels of phosphorus up to 40 kg/ha significantly increased plant height, number of tiller per meter row length, dry matter production per meter row length, number ofgrains per ear, grain, straw and biological yields, net return and benefit-cost ratio. Application of increasing levels of sulphur upto 30 kg/ha significantly increase growth, yield attributes yield, net profit and also the benefit-cost ratio. Application of sulphur at higher rate (45 kg/ha) could not make any significant difference in above parameters over preceding level.
