This paper discusses the effect of various weather parameters on wheat yield of Punjab. Coefficient of determaination (R~2) value of Ludhiana for w heat was higher than any other location in the state. The yield variability of wheat in Ludhiana couldbe explained to the extent of 85 per cent by maximum and minimum temperature. R~2 value for Ludhiana increased to 87 per cent with the use of Radiation along with maximum and minimum temperature. The R~2 value of Amristar, Patiala, Jalandhar improved slightly due to addition of radiation, along with maximum and minimum temperatures. Similarly the addition of rainfall and sunshine hours into the regression equation developed for Ballowal has improved the value of R~2 from 75 to 79 per cent. R~2 value ofKapurthala was lowest among all the stations.
