Effect of different sowing dates, phosphorus and sulphur levels on the productivity of sunflower under rainfed conditions of kashmir valley

An experiment was conducted at SKUAST, Regional Research Station and faculty of Agriculture, Wadura, Sopore, Kashmir during kharif seasan of 1999 and 2000 to investigate the effect of sowing dates, phosphorus and sulphur levels on the productivity ofsunflower. Crop sown on 25th of April and 5th of May recorded better yield compared to early sowing with concomitant increase in the yield attributes. The significant increase was found up to the 60 kg P/ha. The sulphur application was did not show anysignificant response.
