Effect of Income and Education on Adoption of Income Generating Activities-A Study of Women Beneficiaries of S. G. S. Y. and I. T I.

摘要

The study was carried out in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand state. The aim of the study was to know the effect of income and education of adoption of income generating activities. The studv revealed that the beneficiaries who were more educated opted for paid job. Whereas the beneficiaries who were illiterate or less educated supplemented their income through self-employment, micro-cooperatives or micro-enterprises. The beneficiaries having family income more than Rs. 6000 per month had opted for paid job, whereas beneficiaries having family income less than Rs. 4000 per month supplemented their income either through self-employment, micro-cooperatives or micro-enterprises.
