摘要

Molluscicidal activity and repellent properties of thirteen monoterpenoidal compounds were studied against the snail, H. aspersa. Camphor, thymol, (R)-carvone and carvacrol proved to be potent molluscicides. Of the compounds tested, only citronellol, geraniol, (±) menthol and thymol were highly effective as repellents. The use of piperonyl butoxide and triton X-100 to improve the efficacy of the highest contact active compounds was also investigated. All combinations of the tested monoterpenoids with triton X-100 in 1:2 ratio notably increased the molluscicidal activity over methiocarb. However, piperonyl butoxide only enhanced the molluscicidal activity of terpinene-4-ol.
